Bhagwani Devi
India’s 95-year-old veteran Bhagwani Devi Dagar bagged three gold medals in Discuss Throw in World Masters Athletics Indoor Championship at Torun in Poland. The nonagenarian won three medals at the 9th World Athletics Indoor Championship 2023 held at Torun, Poland.
The veteran Haryana athlete at the 2023 World Masters Athletics Championships in Finland ran 100m faster than anybody else in the 90-94 age category, winning a gold medal for India in the process.
Pakinder Singh
Pakinder Singh of Engineer Regiment ONGC (TA), participated in 16th Asia Masters Athletics Championships at Malaysia recently and won Gold Medals in Shot Putt and Discuss Throw events. Later, at the 19thWorld Masters Athletics Championship held at Sacramento, USA, he secured two silver medals in Shot Putt and Discuss Throw.
Mr. Pakinder Singh representing India made the country proud by bagging Gold medal in the shot-put competition in the above 40 category out of the twenty participants representing their respective countries and bronze in discuss throw. The achievement of Mr. Pakinder was splashed across in the eminent local newspapers of Dehradun – Amar Ujala,Dainik Jagran and Hindustan.
He belongs to Bhatinda Punjab and is a master in physical education. An ardent shot-put and discus thrower Mr. Pakinder for the last four years have been coaching and polishing the talents of wards of ONGCians of Dehradun in the two throwing sports – shot-put and discuss his favorite sports.
Reeth Abraham
World Masters Athletic Meet 2018: Reeth Abraham Wins Gold, September 15, 2018. Malaga: Mysuru’s athlete Reeth Abraham, now settled in Bengaluru, representing India in the World Masters Athletic Meet 2018, held at Malaga, Spain, won gold in the Women’s 55+ Triple Jump event.
Reeth Abraham had a gold winning leap of 10.18m. Spain’s Alicia Hernandez took the silver with 10.16m, while Great Britain’s Janice Pyyee took the bronze with 9.46m.

Shalini Rajesh Shetty R., for her International level Bronze medal for Javelin Throw held at Perth, Australia on International Championship which was held from October 26th to 6th November, 2016.
District Master’s Athletics Association Udupi organized felicitation programme held at the Kidiyoor Hotel on Saturday, 12thNovember for the International Sportswoman “Shalini Rajesh Shetty R., for her International level Bronze medal on Javelin Throw held at Perth, Australia on International Championship, which held from October 26th to 6th November, 2016. Sithanadi Vittal Shetty Vice President of Udupi Masters’ Association gave the keynote address and welcomed the gatherings. Shalini R. Shetty was felicitated by guests on the dais. T. K. Anand President of Masters Athletic Association, Tumkur, Karnataka presided over the programme.
